Oscar Washington Tabárez will have quite a potent punch offensively with the inclusion of soon-to-be Pichichi Diego Forlán as well as Real Sociedad poacher Sebastian Abreu.

Defensor Sporting’s Martín Silva was one of the new inclusions at goalkeeper and will be seeing the starting battle from the outside in as Sebastian Viera and Juan Castillo will “lock horns” in order to be the team’s number one.

Another inclusion and the biggest brow raiser was that of Defensor midfielder Miguel Amado who is a vital reason why the Violetas are about to repeat as domestic champs. Diego Lugano and Cristian Rodríguez will not be eligible to play against Brazil on June 6th in the mythical Estadio Centenario as they will have to serve a one-match suspension. Those two will be back fresh when the Charrúas will make the trip north to play against Venezuela in Puerto Ordaz on June 10th.

Uruguay are currently in the fifth and final CONMEBOL spot with 17 points; three points in front of Colombia. The fifth-placed CONMEBOL team will face off against the fourth place team in CONCACAF.
