I had the pleasure of speaking to one of my favorite authors, Jimmy Burns. In this interview he talks about all things Spanish football as well as the personal journey he went through while writing his latest book, La Roja.
His books have been amazing. Publications such as Maradona: The Hand of God as well as Papa Spy were all hailed by several outlets and critics. Even his thought-provoking writing at the Financial Times has made him an authority in football as well as in other topics that surround the game.
He also talks about the game while he grew up in Madrid as well as the present status of football in Spain.
Burns’ capability of laying out the facts; it’s also his panache in which he relates those facts with stories and anecdotes that make his style of writing and telling a story not just informative- it is also entertaining.
